MIAMI – Paul Drew Clement, former United States Solicitor General, and Paul F. Brinkman, of Alston + Bird LLP, will participate in an oral argument at the Miami Federal Courthouse regarding the ACLU lawsuit challenging the academic “travel ban” enacted by the Florida Legislature in the 2006 Legislative Session. The travel ban outlaws academic research in countries labeled as “terrorist states” by the U.S. State Department; most notably for Florida-based researchers and students is Cuba.
