Joint Resolution thwarting the will of the people by making it harder for Floridians to pass constitutional amendments safeguarding our basic liberties (voting access, public education, health care, reduction of poverty, employment opportunities, and environmental protections). This bill increases the percentage of voters required to pass such amendments. If this bill had been in effect over the past decade, we would not have been able to pass critical amendments restoring voting rights to over one-million Floridians, raising the minimum wage, protecting the environment, restricting class sizes, and many more.
