Xiao-Ling Shirley Wang has performed all across the U.S., including the Carnegie Hall. Her podcast, Tuesday Conversation with Friends, features those who make the world more colorful.
During our conversation, she will speak about the rapid increase in violent attacks against AAPI communities, and her personal experience as a Chinese American living in the U.S. She will discuss the harmful model minority myth, and how many Asians fall victim to a unique set of racial stereotypes—including the false belief that all Asian Americans are successful and well adapted—that render them invisible in discussions of race and prejudice in America.
