The Floridians for Immigrant Justice (FLIJ) campaign believes that storytelling is a powerful strategy for mobilizing Floridians toward immigrant justice because it humanizes the struggles that immigrants are currently facing. This hands-on training is meant to equip community members with the tools they need to share their immigrant stories. In this safe space, we’ll go over what makes a good story and how you can use yours for impact.
After this training, attendees will be able to connect with others through their stories, tailor their messages to different audiences, and use the power of stories as well as the emotions they elicit to inspire action. The Art of Storytelling training can also be helpful for allies who wish to help immigrants share their stories. The training will not be recorded.
