Keisha Mulfort joined the ACLU of Florida in May 2024, bringing experience in strategic communications and civil rights advocacy to her role as Senior Communications Strategist. She specializes in creating impactful narratives and fostering intentional stakeholder engagement, while championing meaningful change and empowering communities.

Keisha has directed high-profile campaigns as the Director of Communications for State Attorney Monique Worrell and held leadership roles at the State Attorney's Office, 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida. There, she served as Chief of Staff and Director of Public Affairs where she led bold initiatives like the Adult Civil Citation Diversion Program, and the office’s first full public affairs division. Her commitment to societal change is also evident from her tenure in Orange County Public Schools, where she developed programs that improved equity and access to students, while demystifying the college admissions process.

Keisha holds a Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University’s College of Law, a Master of Science in Sport Management and Legal Studies from PennWest California, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from Fayetteville State University in English and Political Science. She currently serves as President-Elect of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association Foundation and as Board Chair for The PLUG 4 Connection.

With a career characterized by dynamic leadership and a profound commitment to advocacy, Keisha hopes her work with the ACLU of FL will continue to inspire and drive critical conversations and actions towards a more inclusive and just society.
