Ashleigh Cantu joined the ACLU of Florida in January 2025, bringing a strong background in managing high-impact fundraising efforts for candidates and advocacy organizations. She has played a pivotal role in raising millions of dollars for campaigns across Florida, leading fundraising programs at the local, state, and federal levels.
Most recently, Ashleigh served as the Events Director for the Yes On 4 campaign, Florida’s citizen-led reproductive rights ballot initiative. A campaign that shattered records, becoming the highest-grossing citizen-led ballot initiative in Florida’s history. Before her work with Yes On 4, Ashleigh founded AEC Consulting, LLC, where she provided strategic fundraising guidance for campaigns at all levels of government. She has also served as Finance Director for mayoral and state legislative races, helping candidates build the resources needed to run competitive campaigns.
Ashleigh’s passion for fundraising stems from her early work in constituent services in congressional and state legislative offices. Witnessing firsthand the gaps in resources available to Floridians, she became committed to ensuring that strong, principled leaders and organizations have the financial support necessary to create meaningful change. Ashleigh resides in the Tampa Bay region and although she is not a native Floridian, she has been proud to call Florida her home for nearly a decade.
