The ACLU is investigating rejected requests to change gender markers on state licenses and IDs. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) released a technical advisory claiming that it will reject attempts to amend gender markers depending on what gender marker appears on supporting documentation.
