We want to hear why you support federal immigration reform—whether it’s your family’s personal story of immigration, someone else’s story you’ve heard about, or simply your reasons for supporting reform.

We have a once in a generation opportunity to create a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million people who have lived and worked here in the shadows for years, making significant contributions to our families and communities. Politicians of all stripes finally want to reform our outdated immigration system to recognize these individuals. Real reform will enable these 11 million people who aspire to become American citizens but have had no effective way of doing so, to finally be treated as equal members of society.
As Floridians, we are uniquely positioned to influence national dialogue on immigration reform. We are intimately familiar with immigration—one out of every 11 undocumented immigrants in the United States lives in Florida. And our political leaders are some of the central players on immigration reform. We must seize this opportunity to tell Senator Rubio and our other elected representatives why we support the aspirations of our friends and family members to become U.S. citizens through a reasonable and humane pathway to citizenship.

Our coalition partners in the Florida Immigrant Coalition have been taking acaravan across the state, as part of the "Say Yes" Campaign, to raise awareness about the need for federal immigration reform and collect people’s stories. The coalition will take some of these stories to Washington, D.C., later this month to share them with our elected leaders and advocate for an inclusive pathway to citizenship. And we will share these stories with the media, so that they can be heard by others across the state.
